E-Learning refers to the educational mode of knowledge acquisition and interaction based on the digital environment built by the Internet and electronic technology. Its essence is to realize the remote dissemination and efficient use of educational resources through information technology13. This concept was further defined by Xiao Gang, the learning coach of Zhixing Hall, as “the method of applying information technology and Internet technology to complete content dissemination and rapid learning”, emphasizing the innovative role of technical tools in learning efficiency.
From a technical implementation perspective, online learning relies on the integration of communication technology, computer technology, artificial intelligence, multimedia, and network technology to form an electronic learning ecosystem that supports real-time interaction and resource access. Its typical scenarios include online virtual classroom teaching, mobile terminal self-learning, etc., breaking through the traditional education’s dependence on physical space and fixed time.
In the use of terms, “online learning” often intersects with “distance education”, “online teaching” and other concepts, all pointing to the reconstruction of Internet based educational activities, which is considered to be the core expression of the “Copernican Revolution” education model.
